He is survived by: his wife Marie A. Dooley; and his children, Christopher P. Dooley, William, Jr., Mary Jane Dooley, Patricia Dooley, Alice and Thomas Moran. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation in his memory be made to the Visiting Nurse Services Hospice of Suffolk, East Northport, NY.
