She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Kestler and Margaret Picciano Kestler; and her husband James J. Shanahan. She is survived by: her children, John J. Shanahan (Kay) of Hilton Head, SC, Terrie Barill (Mark) of Greensburg, Janet Madden (Jim) of Richmond, VA, Catherine Shanahan Baldwin (Terry) of Hilton Head, SC and Karen Skatell (Christopher) of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Dorion Barill (Antonia), Sean Brendan Barill, Danielle Kelly (Charlie), John Thomas Bucsek, Zachary, Abigail and Gabriella Skatell; and her sisters, Elizabeth Rick and Marguerite Pringle (William). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
