He was predeceased by: his spouse Marilyn; and his children, Richard and James Powers. He is survived by: his children, John Jr., Thomas (Rita), Susan Mallardi, Peter (Florence), Carol Floria and Marilyn Powers (Bruce). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
