He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ruth and Margaret Stover Ruth; his wife Susie V. Ruth; his daughter Vera Hazenburg; and his brothers, Glenn, Charles, Wayne and Henry Ruth.

He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Giambelluca of Myrtle Beach, SC, Helen Lee (Dennis) of Jamestown, Rebecca Edstrom (Tom) of Frewsburg, Brenda Fitch (Tom) of Smethport, PA and Shirley Anderson (Mike) of Kennedy; and his sister Helen Eddy Blair. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
