Though Norma Mae may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dana Hunt and Merle Rusbuldt Hunt; and her sister Leola Hunt. She is survived by: her husband Donald E. Deering Sr.; and her children, Donald E. Deering Jr. (Barbara) of Celeron, Cheryl Pierce (Herbert) of Fredonia, Laurie Chisholm (Kevin) of Lake Frederick, Virginia and Kathy Deering (Tammy Hawkins) of Clymer. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be donated to Oishei Children's Hospital of Buffalo or Chautauqua Blind Association.
