With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne M. Nelson (Falconer, New York), born in Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on March 21, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Shattuck and Edith Olsen Shattuck; her husband Sherwood Nelson; her great grandchild Stacia Rozmin; her stepson Terry Nelson; and her half-siblings, Floyd Shattuck and Mildred Beebe.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Dawson (Mary Ann) of Stow, Randall Dawson (Jerri) of Ashville, NY and Wendy Miller (David) of Holt, Michigan; her stepchildren, Cheryl Miller (David) and Laurie Walker; her grandchildren, Stacey Rozmin (Eric), Kevin Dawson, Christopher Dawson (Shannon Fleming), Seth Ojala (Leanne) and Carly Chmiel (Dan); and her great grandchildren, Abigail Ojala, Sarah, Christopher Rozmin, Damien and Elania Dawson. She is also survived by six step grandchildren.
