He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Carter and Rose Blashaw Carter; his former wife Cynthia Carter; and his siblings, John Mason, Harold, Gerald "Butch" Carter and Virginia Josephson.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Everett (Ken) of Falconer, Laura Heldt (Jim) of Sussex, WI and Michael Carter of Falconer; his siblings, Paul Mason and Dorothy Anderson; his grandchildren, Kendra (Evan Watson), Rex (Jessie), Collin, Lydia Everett (Josh Derginer), Brandon and Ryan Carter; and his great grandchildren, Catherine Carter and Foster Everett.
