He was predeceased by: his parents, George Deering and Vera DeGolier Deering; and his siblings, Gilbert, George, Robert Deering and Erma Jean Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Norma M. Hunt Deering; and his children, Donald E. Deering Jr. (Barbara) of Celeron, Cheryl Pierce (Herbert) of Fredonia, Laurie Chisholm (Kevin) of Lake Frederick, Virginia and Kathy Deering (Tammy Hawkins) of Clymer.
Memorials may be donated to the Falconer Fire Department, Chautauqua County Humane Society, or a charity of one's choice.
