He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy A. Hughes; his parents, Dean T. Hughes and Helen L. Hughes; his sister Margaret Zelko (Russell); and his nephew Eric Zelko.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maureen Nornhold (Brian), Bridget Doyle (Daniel), Deborah Carranza (Fernando) and Sarah Smith (Daniel); his grandchildren, Patrick, Emily, Kerry, Timothy, Matthew, Madelyn and Liam; and his great grandchild Margaret Nancy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
