He was predeceased by: his brothers, Anthony and Peter Cocchiara; his parents-in-law, Phillip, Ann Cerasoli, John, Winifred Cerasoli, Vincent Cerasoli, Anthony, Marge Cerasoli, Marion, Jerry Eberhardt, Joseph, Felice DiPassio and Charles Yaeger; and his parents, Oscar Cocchiara and Carmella Cocchiara.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Cocchiara; his children, Salvatore Cocchiara Jr. and Pam Carzo (Joe); his grandchildren, Joseph Carzo (Sarah), Jacqueline Maj (Michael), Russell Cocchiara and Rachel Cocchiara (Adam); his great grandchild Michael Joseph Maj; and his sisters-in-law, Mae Cocchiara, Carol Cerasoli and Janet Yaeger.
