He was predeceased by: his brother Danny Staerker; and his father-in-law Michael Richards, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Kimberly Richards-Staerker; his daughter Emilea Staerker; his parents, Robert Staerker and Kathleen Staerker (Hylinger); his brothers, John Staerker (Allison) and Patrick Staerker (Jennifer); his mother-in-law Phyllis Richards; and his siblings-in-law, Kelly Richards and Michael Richards. He is also survived by several nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
