She was predeceased by: her husband Alex Chiz; her sister Anne "Honey" Davis; and her brothers-in-law, Otis Davis and Anthony DiTucci. She is survived by: her children, Richard Chiz and Carole Barker (Christopher); her grandchildren, Taylor Barker-Beck (Kellen), Zack, Christopher and Michael Barker; her sister Nancy DiTucci; her nephew Otis Davis; and her nieces, Karen Bellini and Diane DiTucci.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
