Gladys Ruth Schafer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2023, at the age of 94, Gladys Ruth Schafer (Fairport, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Merzke and Beatrice Merzke; her husband Herbert A. Schafer; her sister Betty; her daughters, Sharon and Kathy; and her granddaughter Kathleen.
She is survived by: her children, Esther Schroeder and Todd Schafer (Karen); and her grandchildren, Karen Burns (David), Jason Tuff (Alison), Kimberly Schroeder, Kristina Freiberg (William), Scott Schroeder (Karen), Jessica Willis (Christopher), Jacqueline Gagne (Alexander) and Jillian Schafer. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Bible Society.
