He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner Odegaard and Rose Odegaard (Johnson); his brother Dennis Odegaard; and his brother-in-law Ordean Birkeland. He is survived by: his wife Helen "My" Odegaard (Street); his daughters, Carrie Tamm (Peter) of Newton, MA and Kristen Rommel (Patrick) of Palmyra, NY; his grandsons, Jonas, Kyle and Zachary; and his sisters, Joann Birkeland of Gonvick, MN and Debbie Heitke (David) of Paynesville, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
