He is survived by: his parent Herbert Cater, Sr.; his stepmother Herbert Cater, Sr. (Yvonne) of Live Oaks, FL; his children, Samantha Smith (Adam) of McKinney, Carla Cater (Dan Smith) of Schoharie and Elizabeth Cater; his grandchildren, Ava, Skyler, Anastasia, Misha and Nadia; and his siblings, Herbert Cater, Jr., Danny Cater, Sr., Elden Cater, Lyle Lawrence, David Pangburn, Debbie Pangburn-Liddle, Robin Cater and Shelly Wood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
