She was predeceased by: her parents, Erich Schmiede and Selma Schmiede (Zuhlke); and her siblings, Ruth Brefka, Horst Schmiede, Siegfried Schmiede, Eberhard Schmiede and Frederick Schmiede.

She is survived by: her siblings, Martin Schmiede of Fanwood, NJ, Rose Marie Frank of Esperance, Charlotte Arndt of Denville, NJ and Sigrid Haseloff of Northport, FL..

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Christine to a charity of ones' choice.
