He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Doan and Violet E. (Gunsolus); his son John L. Doane; and his siblings, George Doan, Herb Doan, Vern Doan and Mary Shrimp.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Doane (Struzinsky); his daughters, Christine M. Waters (Alfred) and Dianna S. Raczkowski (Thomas); his siblings, Robert Doan, Duane Janowski and Katherine McKerrow; and his grandchildren, Gregory Wainwright (Sarah), Melissa Wainwright, Jessica Manchester (Justin), Rebecca Whitman, Ashley Davis (Heath), Cody Doane, Courtney Doane, Anthony Doane and Makayla Doane. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
