He was predeceased by: his son George; his stepsiblings, Mary Ossit (Marion) and Ollie Barrows (Veronica); his siblings, Juanita Bishop (Leonard), Ollie Jane Wheeler (William), Elda Barrows, Larry, Jerry and Lester Barrows; and his parents-in-law, Herman F. Bieling and Miriam E Bieling.
He is survived by: his friends, Albert Pfohl, Fred Turner and David St. Pierre; his wife Miriam; his children, Melonie Unger (Tom), Beth Ann Unger (Joe) and Michael McQuade; his grandchildren, Thomas R. Unger II (Bernadette), Jennifer Huntley (Raymond), David Hand, Jr. (Laura) and Ashley Watson (John); his great grandchildren, Grace, Myrah Unger, Tessy, Shelby Huntley, Michael J. Watson and Ethan Rourke; his siblings, Bernadine Meroney (Robert) and Ross Barrows; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Barrows, Patty Barrows, Ann Eallonardo (Anthony), Elizabeth VanIderstine (John) and Herman F. Bieling, Jr. (Teresa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
