She was predeceased by: her husband Paul E. Mattern; and her parents, Morrill Akens and Mabel Akens. She is survived by: her children, Donna (Robert Pirog), Carolyn Mattern, Eva (James Vander Molen), Tully, Paul (Shari Mattern) and Robert (Marsha Mattern); her grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Scott, Kristen, Brian, Bobby, Emma and Suzi; her children, Owen and Rose; and her sister Helen Black. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
