He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Kuhlman and Isabel Kuhlman; and his sister Dorothy Mull. He is survived by: his children, Claudine Conover (Duane), Robert Kuhlman (Laura), Fred Kuhlman (Mikayla) and Cindy Kuhlman (Darren); his former wife Phyllis Kuhlman; his grandchildren, Megan Samaniego (Eddy) and Morgan Conover (Judson); his great grandchildren, Molly, Silas and Max; and his sister Nancy Kuhlman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
