She was predeceased by: her parents, Gary B. Slater and Nancy Slater (Robbins); and her husband Stephen. She is survived by: her siblings, Gary Lee (Lisa), Craig (Debbie) and Karen; her siblings-in-law, Charles and Rose Schmitt; her cousin Shannon Slater; her nieces and nephews, Emily Slater, Kaylin Matthews (Michael), Jared Slater (Christine), Leah Shea Quackenbush (Jon) and Dylan J. Shea; and also Beverly Besley. She is also survived by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
