She was predeceased by: her parents, Remmie Murdock and Edna Murdock; her former husband Charles L. Curtis of Bainbridge; her husband L. Newton Hovey of Endicott; her daughter Charlene Peterson of Sanford, NC; her grandchildren, Anne Marie Burr and Jeffrey Curtis; her grandson-in-law Brian Sutton; and her brothers, Charles Murdock and Chester Cuyle.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles, James Curtis (Terry) and Robert Curtis (Annie); her grandchildren, Barbara Kavinsky (John), Jennifer Sutton, Brenda Curtis (Scott Goodrich), Timothy Curtis, Todd Hovey and Sarah Hovey; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Jacqueline, Hayley, Emily, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Abigail and Whitney; and her sister-in-law Arlene Curtis.
