He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Barno; his children, Kevin and Kathleen; his siblings, James, Margaret, Mary (Pike) and Richard; and his sister-in-law Nancy.

He is survived by: his son Patrick (Marie); his granddaughters, Krista Hanley (Pat) and Hannah Ulmen (John Reid); his brothers, Bernard (Marty), Peter and Carl (Robin); and his siblings-in-law, Sally and Michael Barno (Patricia). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

During the days of limited visiting at Homeland, I sent postcards to people there, & gave Pat one of Annapolis. He wrote a long letter back and I hope to give you that. I enjoyed his company.
