He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rose Chandler Hughes and John C. Hughes, Sr.; his wife Barbara Tomchick Hughes; his children, Stephanie (Kevin), Elizabeth (Kerry) and Christopher (Jill); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Elijah, Benjamin and Abigail Rose.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mercy House in Endicott or to prostate cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
