She was predeceased by: her mother Helen Lakin (Wilson); the father of her children Herbert Knapp; her siblings, Joyce Quain (Tom) and Lynn Lester; and her brothers-in-law, Lance Smith (Carman) and Raymond Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Ed Smith; her children, Debbie Gabert (Steve) and David Knapp (Cyndi); her stepsons, David Smith (Mary) and Doug Smith (Audrey); her grandchildren, Dr. Courtney Fitzpatrick Batchelor (Charlie), Ian Knapp (Esther) and Victoria Benelli (Jesse); her siblings, Barbara Hall (Ken), Doug Lester (Pat) and Jerry Lester (Karen); and her sisters-in-law, Amy Lacey (Dan), Kathy House and Maureen Riter (David). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
