She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Valentine and Ina Valentine (Miner); her husband Fred Smales; her son Carl Lewis; and her brothers, Richard, James, Earl and Glenn Valentine.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Lewis (Cindy), Paul Lewis (Lori), Patricia Burton (Donald), Jean Greenier (David) and Tom Lewis; and her siblings, Floyd Valentine, Robert Valentine and Marie Kolb. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
