He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Melnyk and Paraska Melnyk; his siblings, Walter, Joseph, William, Ann Wrobel, Mary Chesterfield, Margaret Babek, Alice Zaley, Helen Melnyk, Irene Melnyk and Sophia Melnyk; his wife Irene (Herlica); his children, Maryanne (John Bednarski), Michael (Kelly), Matthew and Robert (Theresa); his grandchildren, Parker and Andrew; and his daughter Emilie.
