He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Franklin and Catherine Franklin; his siblings, Vernon Jr., David and Ella Mae Gipson; and his brothers-in-law, William Gipson and Ray Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Erifilie; his grandchildren, Gisele, Marcelo and Rafael; his sisters, Patricia Cherry (Dennis) and Linda Jones; and his sister-in-law Maria "Kula" Sismanoglu. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
