She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Smith; her son Jeffery J. Smith; her parents, Firmin Erding and Margaret Erding; her brother Charles Erding; and her brother-in-law John Wolfe.
She is survived by: her sisters, Dianne Wolfe of Waukon, IA and Kay; her brother-in-law James Barry of North Hills, CA.; her children, Stanley Smith (Kathy) of Warwick, NY, Joseph Smith (Angela) of Rossville, GA, Scott Smith (Carol) of Wolfeboro, NH and Ellen Snapp (William) of Newark Valley, NY.; her great grandchildren, Collin, Leah and Ava; and her goddaughter Nancy Daily (Ted) of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
