She was predeceased by: her husband John "Jack" Townsend; her grandson David M. Townsend; her siblings, Andrew Charma, Mike Charma (Betty), John Charma (Mary), Steve Charma (Millie), Paul Charma (Arlene), Joe Charma (Lorraine) and Mary "Mickey" Giacovelli (Iggy); and her siblings-in-law, Herbert Townsend (Lorraine) and Jane Keck (Harold).

She is survived by: her sons, John "Jack" Townsend (Jane) and Robert "Bob" Townsend of Columbus, GA.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice or Our Lady of Good Counsel Food Pantry.
