He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis VanHouten and Louise VanHouten; his wife Robin; and his brothers, Harry, James and Richard VanHouten.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Keenan (Thomas) and Wayne VanHouten (Carys); his grandchildren, Erin Devine (Charles), Sarah Heineman, Caliope and Millicent VanHouten; his great grandchildren, Madighan, Liam Devine and Karter Baker; his siblings, Lorraine VanHorn (James) and George VanHouten (Val); and his sister-in-law Frances Cicora. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Wayne's memory.
