With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Marie Quackenbush (Elmira, New York), who passed away on September 2, 2019 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Quackenbush; and her brother Edward Matteson. She is survived by: her children, Raymond Quackenbush (Anne) of Rochester, NY, David Quackenbush of Elmira, NY, Catherine Magee (Doug) of Horseheads, NY and Jennifer Johnson of St. Petersburg, FL; and her sister Cathy Schillings of Elmira, NY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Salvation Army (address listed above) or to the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA 2435 Route # 352 Elmira, NY 14903.
