It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa M. Madden of Elmira, New York, born in Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Gates and Muriel Gates (Butler); her children, Patricia Madden of Elmira, NY, Thomas Madden of St. Louis, MO, Melissa Madden of Danbury, CT and Douglas Madden of Boca Raton, FL; her siblings, Marilyn Scampoli of North Chesterfield, VA, Barbara Lipkin of Pleasantville, NY, Gregory Gates of Katonah, NY and William Gates of Wilton, CT; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Nicholas, Cole, Bella and Sofia; her husband Richard G. Madden; and her daughter Karen M. Madden.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
