He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. "Dick" and Teresa Viselli Smithers. He is survived by: his significant other Nodja M. Coolbaugh; his siblings, Michael (Patricia Smithers), Daniel (Reneé Smithers), Cheryl (Stephen Janeski) and David (Mary Smithers); his uncle Louis Viselli of Las Vegas; his nieces and nephews, Jim Rice, Stephen, Jason Janeski, Sarah Smithers (Aleks Makletsov), Jennifer Smithers, Briana and Brittney Brantner; his great-nephew Ryan Janeski; his great-niece Gabby Janeski; and also, Susan Brantner of Horseheads and Arthur Coolbaugh Jr. of Elmira.
