He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Georgianne Knox (Mack); and his daughter Marquetta Knox. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Knox; and his children, Lynn Smith (Mathew), James Knox, Lorena Knox, Sloman Knox Jr. (Esther), Eric Knox, Deneen Brown and Jesse Knox. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
