She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Walker and Eartha Lee Kitchings; and her brother James Kitchings. She is survived by: her daughter Marti; her husband Shawn Kambeitz of Elmira, NY; her daughter Martonia Pittman of Elmira, NY; her siblings, Loretta Kitchings of Elmira, NY, Loraine Kitchings of Springfield, MA and Lewis Kitchings of Elmira, NY; her grandchildren, Delvon Graham of Syracuse, NY, Tasharie Jones of Elmira, NY and Ajeea McCoy of Elmira, NY; and her mother-in-law Susan Kambeitz of Horseheads, NY. She is also survived by great- grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

“My name is Christina Eastwood I worked with Shirley (shirel) at Elmira City School District (EDA) for a long time. In the time I got to know her she was a tuff woman but had a great heart and she was a good person. She always showed me photos of her family she loved them all so much always spoke about her family. Also she took Jared York under her wing and took him in as her adopted son in the time I got to know her, she loved him like a son. Shirley will be missed greatly by all of us. RIP”
