She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward M. Liddy and Leonore Schweppe Liddy; her husband VanEtten E. "Jim" Harkness; her stepmother Irma Liddy; her brothers, Max, Fred Brinthaupt and Marty Liddy (Sandy); her son-in-law Richard Barnes; and her sister-in-law Shirley Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Kim M. Harkness, Timothy J. Harkness, Kelly M. Adams, Kristine M. Barnes, Elizabeth "Biz" Crout (Tom), Amy M. Harkness and Laura A. Henry (Mark); and her grandchildren, Brian Harkness (Mari), Jeffrey Adams (Brittany Orlousky), Stephanie Kirsche (Justin), Kathleen Adams (Spencer Flaherty), Kimberly Adams, Brian Powell (Mandy), Tara Girardi, Caitlyn Disbrow (Joseph), Shawn Crout, Bailey O'Rourke (Kristyn) and Erin Henry. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 5:45 PM at the McInerny Funeral Home (502 W Water St, Elmira, NY 14905). A prayer was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (224 Franklin St, Elmira, NY 14904).
