He was predeceased by: his son Robert E. Shope. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shope of Elmira; his sons, Gary Shope (Terri Conklin) of Elmira, Timothy Shope (Bonnie) of Whitney Point, NY, David Shope (Jeaninne) of Watkins Glen, NY, Jerome Shope (Janet) of Apex, NC, Ronald Shope (Yvette) of Elmira and James Shope (Christine) of Elmira; and his brother James Shope. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
