It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita H. Burke (Elmira, New York), born in New York, New York, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hoffmann and Beatrice Hoffmann (Kearney); her husband Francis; and her sons, Patrick and Christopher.
She is survived by: her children, Francis (Karen Companion), Joseph (Joyce), Rosemary (Daniel Childs), Jeanmarie, Gerard (Cherie) and Maurita (Stephen Baumeister); and her grandchildren, Timothy Burke, Nichole Andrews, Janelle, Johanna, Justine Burke, Caileen (Patrick Leavy), Marc, Ryan, Aidan Childs, Molly, Sean, James Burke, Noelle, Matthew and Erin Baumeister. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
