He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Tyler and Margaret Tyler; and his grandson James "Jimmer" VanDerpoel. He is survived by: his wife Rita; and his children, Ray, II, Ronald (Robin), Aaron (Heidi), Debra Simons, Nancy Zurn (Joe) and Christine Cornish. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
