He is survived by: his wife Francelia Newman (Emanuel); his children, Derek Miller, Bridget Gilcrest (Derek) of Columbia, MD, Jerome Emanuel (Jessica) of Elmira and Kirk Newman (Christina) of Elmira; his granddaughter Alena Emanuel; his siblings, Karl Newman (Jeanne) of Tampa, FL, Kim Lytle (Paul) of Columbia, MD and Darren Newman of Tampa, FL; his siblings-in-law, Mark Emanuel (Stephen Ashford) and Weonia Emanuel (Deanna Ashford) of Elmira; and his close friends, Anthony Suggs, Carlos Hamlin and Michael Pearson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
