He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sampsell and Marion Sampsell (MacKay); and his brothers, Charles and James Sampsell. He is survived by: his children, Erik Sampsell (Angie) of Mt. Airy, GA, Mark Sampsell (Beth) of Katy, TX and Debbie Hartman (Mike) of Altoona, PA; his grandchildren, Allison Sampsell, Sarah Hartman, Erin Sampsell, Emily Sampsell, Katelyn Sampsell and Matthew Hartman; and his sister Marion "Susie" Wade of Elmira.
