With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Murbel Norton of Elmira, New York, born in Watkins Glen, New York, who passed away on February 12, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Carey and Minabella Carey. She is survived by: her sons, William Norton (Diane) and Edward Norton (Deborah); her grandchildren, Edward Jr. "Bo" Norton (Sarah) and Tonya Shock (Cody); and her great grandchildren, Christopher Stilson (Mike), Dylan Norton (Samantha), Alexis Norton (James), Ace Stilson and Kaylee Stilson. She is also survived by many great-great-grandchildren, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to an animal shelter in Murbel's name.
