It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Madeleine Pabis of Elmira, New York, born in Beverly, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Burns and Irene Burns (Walsh); her husband Arnold Pabis Sr.; her siblings, Barbara Snyder, John Burns, Paul Burns and Michael Burns; and her grandson Michael Shaline.

She is survived by: her children, Arnold Pabis Jr. and Colleen Shaline (Dan Evertts); her grandchildren, Ashley Pabis, Joseph Shaline (Amanda), John Pabis, Brayden Vondercheck and Tanner Vonderchek; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Lewis, Ryder and Lincoln; and her sister-in-law Delores Burns. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in her name can be made to the Children's Miracle Network and the Chemung County SPCA.
