She was predeceased by: her parents, Linzie Hatcher and Celia Hatcher; her daughter Patricia Pannell; her siblings, Linzie Hatcher, Harold Lee Hatcher, James Wade Sr. (Jimmy) and Mary Newson; and her friend Myrle Knapp.

She is survived by: her children, Celia Briggs (Gary) of Fayetteville, Theodore Pannell of Elmira, Harold Pannell (Laura) of Rochester and Joel Pannell (Heather) of Binghamton; her sisters, Leiona Hatcher and Nettie Sippio of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Carey Pannell, Parker Pannell, Taylor Pannell, Tevin Pannell, Jamaha Pannell and Javon Pannell; her great grandchild Jaxson Pannell; and her close friend Roberta Bedzyk. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
