She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis VanHouten and Lousie VanHouten (Paulman); her former husband Dennis Montgomery, Sr.; her brothers, Richard, James, Wayne and Harry VanHouten; and her granddaughter Jaimie Cooper.
She is survived by: her husband James D. Vanhorn of Southport; her children, Mary Ann (James Cooper), Mary Cabaniss of Shelby, NC, Dennis (Andrea Montgomery, Jr.) and Brian Montgomery of St; her grandchildren, Kristen Cooper (Jonathan), Allie, Ryan, Carlee Montgomery and Carrie Cabaniss; her great grandchild Soleia Callahan; and her brother George (Val VanHouten).
