We bid farewell to Lorraine K. Vanhorn (Elmira, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 4, 2024 at the age of 79. Lorraine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis VanHouten and Lousie VanHouten (Paulman); her former husband Dennis Montgomery, Sr.; her brothers, Richard, James, Wayne and Harry VanHouten; and her granddaughter Jaimie Cooper.
She is survived by: her husband James D. Vanhorn of Southport; her children, Mary Ann (James Cooper), Mary Cabaniss of Shelby, NC, Dennis (Andrea Montgomery, Jr.) and Brian Montgomery of St; her grandchildren, Kristen Cooper (Jonathan), Allie, Ryan, Carlee Montgomery and Carrie Cabaniss; her great grandchild Soleia Callahan; and her brother George (Val VanHouten).
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Fitzsimmons Cemetery.
