With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laurie J. Ames of Elmira, New York, who passed away on August 18, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth Fitzgerald; her stepfather Eugene Kohan; and her grandmother Beatrice Bixby. She is survived by: her mother Helen Kohan; her siblings, Brian Fitzgerald, Jeff Kohan, Doug Fitzgerald, Martin Fitzgerald, Karen Kohan and Gene Kohan (Coralee); her children, Ciara Ames (Cassady Beaton) and Ian Ames (April); her grandchildren, Lily Ames and Kevin Jensen Jr.; her niece Brittany Pearson; her nephew Shane Elston; and her significant other Martin Benjamin Sr.. She is also survived by her family, friends.
