She was predeceased by: her parent Charles Mercer. She is survived by: her parent Ethel Handley Mercer; her husband John R. Vreeland; her daughters, Jacqueline A. Dulik of Copiague, NY and Valerie; and her friend Joyce Grose. She is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses and eight great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
