He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Dowdle and Marita Dowdle (Dunkle); and his aunt Catherine Robinson. He is survived by: his sons, Steven Dowdle of Elmira and Timothy Dowdle of Elmira; his grandchildren, Hannah Cosmore (Nick), Perris Dowdle (Madison Jurusik), Colin Dowdle (Chloe McNaney) and Isabella Dowdle; and his great grandchildren, Lillian Cosmore and Olive Dowdle.
