It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John T. Mahoney of Elmira, New York, born in Montour Falls, New York, who passed away on October 26, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mahoney and Catherine Mahoney (Greenough). He is survived by: his wife Debra Mahoney (Waterholter); his children, Marc Mahoney (Julie) of Colorado, John Mahoney (Jennie) of Colorado, Cheyanne Kinghorn (Ben) of Colorado and Benjamin Mahoney of Montana; his stepchildren, Joseph "Tripp" Ryan III (Blair Cundy) of Horseheads and Nichole Rodriguez of Elmira; his grandchildren, Alex, Daniel, Caroline, Luke, Olive, Fox, Carter, Olivia, Michael and Isabella; his brother Richard Mahoney; his niece Elizabeth; his brother William Mahoney; his niece Rosie; and his brothers-in-law, Frederick Waterholter, Jerry Collins (Cat) and Steven Waterholter (Veronica).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McInerny Funeral Home (502 W Water St, Elmira, NY 14905). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
